FROSTED GLASS GRADIENT

Hi everybody!
Maybe it’s something that is super easy and I am just super bad, but I am struggling to make this.

I need to make a fading frosting on a glass cylinder; I need it to be transparent on the lower part and frosted on the top;
I am attaching an image to explain better.

Please let me know,
bye bye!

Hi,

You should try a gradient texture to set the roughness of your glass material.
Then, tweak the size, texture position and color points to match your needs.

You can also create the frosted look with a label material, and control the fade with a black and white gradient in the opacity channel of the label. that would give you seperate control of the look of the clear part and the look of the frosted part.

You can emphasize the effect by using ‘Dielectric’ and control both roughness and transmission distance at the same time.

QUE BUENA OPCION PARA GENERAR EL EFECTO

I think you’ll have to post in English if you want people to understand you. Not everyone speaks Spanish.

I APOLOGIZE, WHAT I WAS COMMENTING IS THAT I THINK IT’S A VERY GOOD METHOD TO GENERATE THE EFFECT, I AM MORE FOCUSED ON THE PACKAGING BUT FOR THE FUTURE IT IS GOOD TO KEEP THE ADVICE, GREETINGS JOAKIM
